Thanksgiving meals

In partnership with Waverly Rotary Club and the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, Thanksgiving Meal bundles are provided to local families. Ingredients for a family meal are included in the bundle and allows the family to prepare the meal and enjoy together. Holiday memories are often made around meals and we are proud to partner to create these memories! 

Program Description:

United Way, Waverly Rotary Club, and Northeast Iowa Food Bank have partnered to provide Thanksgiving Meals to local households in need. 

Program Stats:

• Up to 100 Thanksgiving meal bags will be offered to local families in 2024.

This program helps meet the need for the more than 1 in 4 households in our community who are struggling. As someone who knows many of these families, it’s very personal. It makes my Thanksgiving better to know that while I am blessed to enjoy time, tradition, and food with my own family, it also warms my heart to know these families have that same opportunity. We look forward to future partnerships together to continue to address food security in our community.”
